Medvedev signed an order to relocate compatriots to the Far East and Baikal

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed an order "On approval of the list of territories of priority settlement" as part of the new version of the state program to assist the voluntary relocation of compatriots living abroad in the Russian Federation. The text of the document is published on the government website .

At the disposal, the regions strategically important for the country are listed, the voluntary resettlement of compatriots into which the authorities undertake to promote.

It is noted that the proposed territory of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation for these purposes should correspond to at least two of the following conditions - the location in the Far East or in the Baikal region, the presence of a border with a foreign state, a change in the population for the year with negative consequences and the implementation of important economic and investment projects.

The government promises that participants in the state program and members of their families, moving to these territories, will receive state guarantees and social support "in full." In particular, such people are promised to provide compensation for moving, expenses for the payment of state duty in the execution of new documents, as well as payments for no more than six months of a monthly benefit in the absence of income.

It is proposed to include 10 constituent entities of the Russian Federation: Buryatia, the Trans -Baikal Territory, the Kamchatka Territory, the Khabarovsk Territory, the Amur Region, the Irkutsk Region, the Magadan Region, the Sakhalin Region and the Jewish Autonomous Region. The government order on this occasion comes into force on January 1, 2014.

Note that the program for the intersection of compatriots was recognized by experts of one of the most ambitious and at the same time disastrous initiatives of the government. According to March 2013 , contrary to the plans of the authorities to return hundreds of thousands of compatriots, only a little more than 60 thousand came to Russia, and, as a rule, low -skilled workers.
