Miss Independence is taking place in Moscow for the third time. The author of the idea and the main organizer of the competition is ROO at Katyusha with the support of the Moscow Government and the social protection of the population of the city of Moscow.

This vivid action was conceived in order to destroy the stereotypes of disability, to show that the life of girls in strollers can be full, independent and happy, and, despite their circumstances, they have every right to be called successful and stylish beauties.

The girls had 3 exits - the first dance was dedicated to the Paralympic Games in Sochi 2014. The second exit was personal presentations of the finalists - in which they had to tell about themselves. And the third way out is tango. The partners of the girls at the performance were graduates of the Academy of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia.

As a result, the crown of the winner and the title of Miss Independence 2013 was received by student Elena Pastukhova. The crown of the winner was put on by the deputy of the State Duma, Krupennikov Vladimir Alexandrovich. Elena also received the main prize from the Department of Social Protection of the Population.
The second place and title of vice-miss independence-2013 with a student Nursina Galieva, future mathematics.
The jury decided to divide the third place between Svetlana Tyapkina and Anna Petukhova, who showed an incendiary battle on the rapiers (both girls are engaged in paralympic fencing).
