Last year, the company Planetary Resources made a splash with its project of towing an asteroid to the earth to extract valuable mineral resources from it. Part of the asteroid mining project should be a network of ARKYD 100 space telescopes for observing small celestial bodies. The company plans to receive and launch the first of them into orbit with the support of Internet users: the million dollars required for this are being raised on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter . So far, they have received just under 300 thousand - a rather strange figure, considering that the founders and investors of Planetary Resources include multimillionaires and billionaires, for example, Google co-owners Eric Schmidt and Larry Page.

For anyone willing to contribute even one dollar, the opportunity to become involved in an amazing space project can be exciting in itself.
