Mobile photography is becoming increasingly popular, so the developers of the Impossible Camera device focused on nostalgia for the old days, says Alexander Levy. With it you can get pictures that resemble photos from the good old Polaroid. The Impossible Camera is presented as a copy of the SX70 model, the cassettes consist of 10 cards, the reviewer adds.

The device that I would like to talk about will almost certainly please you. My confidence is based on statistics and simple observations. Every day, tens of millions of people visit Instagram. Another unknown number, even if they don’t use this service, still record something on their phones. The mobile shooting genre, if you may call it that, is very popular, perhaps even already the most widespread. But if you've ever had a Polaroid that takes instant photographs, you definitely won't be able to remain indifferent to the Impossible Camera.

The creators of the device decided to openly play on nostalgic feelings and presented an almost copy of the SX70 model. The device is capable of turning digital photos from your smartphone, currently only an Apple smartphone, into real ones.

Just a couple of simple manipulations allow you to get that same square photo with a white rectangular border. Naturally, you have to use the same cassettes of 10 cards each and, of course, wait for the picture to appear. Moreover, the supplies for the Impossible Camera are made in the old Polaroid factory. To be fair, it is worth noting that the photo paper itself is produced using modern technologies, although in reality you will get a picture like from Instagram.

The project was launched on Kickstarter. And it so happened that at the time of recording the program there was only one Impossible Camera left out of 1111 at a special price of $189.

There is a chance that you won’t make it in time, but you shouldn’t be upset. There are also other options, albeit a little more expensive.
