Angry foresters - intervention in the Timiryazevsky forest park

Visitors to the Timiryazevsky Park witnessed the intervention, and the outstanding foresters of Russia openly expressed their attitude to what was happening in the park.

Last Saturday, May 25, the #Moseko project participated in the Timiryazevsky Forest Park in Moscow, aimed at attracting attention to the problems of the park.

This was the first action of the parking campaign.

Public activists held an action in the Timiryazevsky forest park aimed at attracting the attention of the authorities and residents of the city to the problem of an endangered forest. The action consisted of partisan intervention on information stands - stands on the central alleys were supplemented in order to display the discontent of the current situation and draw attention to the problem. Activists also talked with visitors to the park, informed them about the problem and planned actions as part of a civil campaign for preserving the forest park.

The Timiryazevsky Forest Park is in a deplorable state - for reasons of departmental disunity and bureaucratic premium, between the subjects of the federal and city leaders, the forest is extinction.

For these reasons, the conduct of recovery and economic work is complicated, as a result of which the process of learning and decay, the invasion of the bark beetle and the litter of the territory is underway. During the Great Patriotic War, the forest was regularly subjected to bombing, but in the next year, during the war, 10 thousand trees were landed, and even in these inhuman conditions, the plant biological diversity of the entire complex was preserved, and the forest was currently dying of the inconsistency of the work of various institutions and insufficient financing.

The place for the sticker at the stand was 3 meters above the ground! In total, the stands on the alley are 11, each of them is dedicated to the specific leader of the lieutenant, starting from 19 and ending with the 20th century. We studied the fate of each of the presented foresters, walking once in the park, and could not but notice the ironicity of the situation that such portraits of outstanding scientists and fighters for the forest, most of whom devoted all their forces to the forests of Russia, including Timiryazevsky, are against the backdrop of a dying forest eaten by a bite, and covered with garbage.

With our action, we wanted to draw attention to the whole irony of the situation, as well as to the reasons for what was happening.

Also, leaflets informing passers -by about the problem were pasted on all stands.

There were a lot of people on Saturday, our stickers read everything with interest, many came to chat, thanked.

Here are all 11 stickers-for foresters, according to chronology. Activists studied the biography of each scientist and picked up a phrase for each specific person. We believe that they would be dissatisfied with the real state of the forest.
