Yesterday, Sochi activist of the Ecological Watch in the North Caucasus Vladimir Kimaev was searched. Members of Kimaev's family were shown a search warrant as part of a criminal investigation under Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation against a certain Molchanov, who, according to police, was involved in gas pipeline explosions in Sochi. I began to find out the details and realized that we were talking about a well-planned and very dangerous provocation for Volodya.
Six years ago, on March 22, 2007, employees of the Center for Combating Extremism found out that a certain Molchanov “bombed a drilling rig using improvised explosive devices.” At the same time, investigators specifically emphasized that “Molchanov indicated the environmental problems of Sochi as the main motive for committing the crime. In particular, he did not like the fact that a large amount of construction equipment had accumulated in the city.”
In November 2007, he was charged with the second part of Article 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (deliberate destruction of property for hooligan reasons), but was not accused of either purchasing or manufacturing explosives with which he blew up the drilling rig. Which is very strange and imprudent for the Olympic capital. They gave him five years, i.e. he had to serve until the fall of 2012.

In February 2011, information first appeared about an attempt to explode the Maikop-Sochi gas pipeline ; on July 26, 2012, the same gas pipeline exploded in the area of the village of Plastunka . The last time it exploded was on December 26, 2012.
On March 19, 2013, the television of the Tkachev administration triumphantly announced in its morning broadcast : the police caught two bombers who started a large fire on a gas pipeline in Sochi. The incident occurred in December last year. The police are confident that the detainees have been involved in bombings since 1992.

“Here I blew up this branch of the gas pipeline with a homemade explosive device with a power of 400 grams,” says the detainee.
However, on March 20, on the RTR-Kuban channel, the same footage was shown as an investigative experiment related to the explosion on July 26, 2012. The detainee himself speaks about this in the story; we will never see the second “environmentalist-criminal” in the frame.
It turns out that between 2002 and 2007, the suspects blew up more than 20 pieces of construction equipment and destroyed two drilling rigs, and “they also planted a bomb on the same gas pipeline near Plastunka in 2007.”
From these details it is obvious that Molchanov, who was arrested in 2007 for 5 years, and the person who is shown to us in 2013 as a freshly caught bomber are the same person, well known to the department for combating extremism.
The question immediately arises: how did Molchanov, who was jailed for five years in November 2007, end up free in July 2012, if he had 5 convictions? And even if he was released on parole, how did our brave Olympic intelligence services and fighters against extremism then let him out of sight?
Let's fast forward to the cramped offices of the Central District Court of Sochi, which on March 14, 2013 satisfied the “resolution of the investigator - head of the department of the Internal Affairs Directorate for the city of Sochi, Tanyuk A.E. to initiate a petition to select a preventive measure in the form of detention of M. accused of committing a crime under Article 222 Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, detained on March 12, 2013, a preventive measure was chosen in relation to the accused M. in the form of detention for a period of two months, i.e. until May 12, 2013 inclusive. .

It turns out that they started talking about Molchanov’s confessions on TV only a week after the actual arrest. Let’s assume that at first they tortured us for a week or tried to negotiate.
Otherwise, it is difficult to explain that Molchanov is accused only of storing or purchasing explosives, but not of the numerous explosions that the TV was talking about. Moreover, part 1 of Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation implies that Molchanov acted alone, and not as part of a group.
On May 8, Molchanova’s detention was extended for two months; no objections or complaints were received from the accused again. The classification of the crime has not changed, which means that the mysterious accomplice never appeared, and investigators are not going to prove Molchanov’s involvement in the explosions.
It seems that Molchanov is being kept in custody in order to organize provocations and put pressure on activists under the guise of investigative actions. He can call anyone an accomplice. Therefore, Vladimir Kimaev, and our other Sochi residents remain under serious threat. Tkachev's team, in anticipation of the post-Olympic clean-up, is terribly nervous and can do something stupid.
