According to the official representative of the Investigative Committee of Vladimir Markin, the criminal case under Part 3 of Article 33, Article 295 of the Criminal Code (organization of an encroachment on the life of a person conducting a preliminary investigation) against Amirov was instituted on Friday. He is suspected of organizing the murder of the year of the acting The head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee in the Soviet District of the city of Makhachkala Arsen Gadzhybekov in December 2011. Markin noted that more than ten alleged accomplices of the crime were detained in this criminal case. Accusations to Amirov will be brought in for 10 days.

According to the RIA Novosti source in the law enforcement agencies of the region, the leader of the Makhachkala sabotage group Syrazhudin Guchaliev spoke about the involvement of Amirov in criminal activity. On Friday, he was detained during a special operation.

On Sunday, the first deputy head of the city Bagand Magomedov said that the detention of Amirov, as well as searches in his house and at the workplace, were in violation of the law. “I can say that the operation was carried out extremely cynically and with violation of the procedural legislation. In turn, the chairman of the People’s Assembly of Dagestan Hizri Shikhsaidov said that the arrest of the mayor was carried out within the framework of the law and in compliance with all procedures. According to him, the arrest of Amirov continues a series of steps of the country's leadership to restore order in the republic. The detention of Amirov, who heads, including the Makhachkala branch of the United Russia party, was a surprise to the one -party members, said United Russia Ibrahim Ibrahimov.
