Annually, 131.3 million dealers of beer and 43 million dealers of alcoholic beverages are consumed in Moscow. About this, according to Interfax , said the head of the Department of Trade and Services of the capital, Alexei Nemeryuk at a press conference on Wednesday.

Each Muscovite, according to the official, consumed 9.4 liters of grape and fruit wines, 16.5 liters of vodka and liquor-vodka products, 1.7 liters of cognac and 89.9 liters of beer in natural terms.

This is less than in the old years, since over the past five years, the growth rate of alcohol consumption has decreased. So, in 2008, the average Muscovite consumed about 20 liters of vodka and about 96 liters of beer, respectively.

The head of the department compared the consumption of beer by residents of Moscow and Prague. "The average resident in Prague consumes about 160 liters of beer in Prague. This is almost twice as much as the average Muscovite," Nemeryuk explained.

According to him, the share of domestic alcohol supplies to Moscow is 88%, imports are only 12%. Of the foreign countries, the most significant alcohol supplies are to France, Chile, Italy, Bulgaria and Armenia.

Recall that in the fall of last year, the Federal Treasury calculated that the state earns 250 billion rubles on the alcohol addictions of Russians over the year. The structure of alcohol consumption in Russia of the Northern type - a strong but excise load on beer and strong alcohol in terms of a liter of pure alcohol differs by only 25%.
