In Krasnodar, the court today extended until August 11 the detention of human rights activist Mikhail Savva, arrested in April on suspicion of fraud with grants. The meeting was held closed.

The criminal case against Mikhail Savva under the article "Fraud" was instituted in April. According to investigators, the human rights activist participated in the embezzlement of 366 thousand rubles allocated from the budget by the administration of the Krasnodar Territory on grants. In mid -May, Mikhail Savva, a professor at Kuban State University, became a defendant in another criminal case.
