Apple wants to launch the Trade-in program to stimulate the sales of the new iPhone 5, Bloomberg writes with reference to his sources in the company. As a partner, the corporation chose Brightstar Corp. (TM Star), a contented large distributor of mobile phones in the United States.
Now AT&T and T-MOBILE say that there is a stir in the USA in the iPhone 4S, which, as an old model, is sold at a discount. To stimulate sales of the fifth iPhone and support Apple shares, Tim Cook decided to launch this new offer.
Analysts say that the move is successful and clearly allow Apple to sell more iPhone. Moreover, the Trade-in trading model, in the case of mobile phones in the United States, is becoming more and more popular: in 2012, 20% of the total number of devices was sold. For comparison: in 2011, this figure was 11%.But it is also obvious that Apple is worried due to growing demand for Samsung smartphones. Most likely, sales of American smartphones are growing not as briskly as before.
