Udaltsov intends to personally submit documents in the Mosgorisbirkom

The coordinator of the Left Front, Sergei Udaltsov, who is under house arrest in the "Swamp case", intends to personally submit documents to the Mosgorizbirk on the nomination of his candidacy in the elections of the mayor of Moscow. This was reported on Twitter Politics.

"Sergei Udaltsov sent a petition to the Investigative Committee on the possibility of personally submitting documents for nomination in the elections of the mayor of Moscow," the report said. It is clarified that Udaltsov plans to submit documents to the Mosgorisbirkom next week, after receiving a response from the Investigative Committee.

Earlier it was reported that, most likely, the opposition will go to the elections by a self -nominee. Nevertheless, he did not exclude the option of nomination from any left party. At the same time, Udaltsov called on all the left forces to agree on the support of a single candidate.

On the other hand, the coordinator of the Left Front is ready for negotiations with representatives of political movements of a different sense for nomination for the election of a single candidate from the entire opposition.

Udaltsov formulated one of the slogans of his election campaign - "For mass orders!" Supporters of the coordinator of the Left Front recall that he is accused of organizing riots. During the election campaign, the opposition intends to draw the attention of society to the problem of Russian political prisoners, especially "prisoners of May 6".

Udaltsov is charged with part 1 of Article 212 (the organization of mass riots accompanied by violence, pogroms, arson, the destruction of property) on the fact of events in Bolotnaya, as well as part 1 of Article 30 and part 1 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code (preparation for the organization of mass riots) for the “fact” of the preparation of power seizure of power for money from abroad.

Since October 2012, the opposition has been under the recognizance not to leave. On February 9, the judge of the Basmanny District Court of Moscow Arthur Karpov, at the request of the investigation, changed his preventive measure for house arrest.

The early elections of the Moscow Mayor will be held on September 8 on a single voting day. On Tuesday, the capital's mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced his intention to resign. On Wednesday, the resignation was adopted by President Vladimir Putin. At the same time, he appointed Sobyanin the acting mayor.

The powers of Sergei Sobyanin expired in the post of mayor of Moscow in 2015. The media showed assumptions that the decision to resign and go to early elections was due to the desire to reduce the deadlines for the election campaign for the rest of the candidates.

The desire to take part in the mayor’s elections was already announced by a member of the opposition coordination council Alexei Navalny, the leader of the Yabloko party Sergey Mitrokhin, billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov, as well as the former replacement of the heads of Rosprirodnadzor Oleg Mitvol. “Another Russia” will nominate his candidate - the defendant of the “swamp business” of Alexander Kamensky. The former mayor of the capital, Yuri Luzhkov, also stated the possible participation in the elections, but he had not yet made the final decision on the nomination.
