Onishchenko warned participants in protest shares on June 12 from a thermal strike

Participants in the protest shares planned on June 12, "should remember the temperature factor that a heat blow is possible," the chief sanitary doctor of Russia Gennady Onishchenko told Interfax on Saturday.

“Judging by the forecast, the thermometer column on June 12 will rise above 20 degrees. There will be hot weather. In the conditions of a wet climate, this is serious stress for the body. We must get dressed in the weather, be with their heads, make sure that people with malaise, with colds should refrain from participating in mass events,” Onishchenko said.

At the same time, he emphasized that he did not see the grounds for introducing restrictions on the holding of mass actions in Moscow on the day of Russia for medical reasons.

"The incidence of respiratory infections is at the seasonal level. With the ARI we are fine," said the head of Rospotrebnadzor.

The Moscow authorities agreed on June 12 of a protest procession in the center of the capital with the participation of 30 thousand people. Demonstrators will go from Kaluga Square along Bolshoi Yakimanka to Bolotnaya Square.

Onishchenko is not the first time for the Russians to refuse to participate in mass shares and rallies due to weather conditions. In December 2011, when numerous rallies for fair elections were held in Moscow, the chief sanitary doctor warned their participants about the threat of influenza disease. “I recommend not to go to demonstrations, given that still cold time is expected to worsen, especially people with chronic diseases, endocrine diseases. And under conditions of incidence growth that is planned today, mass accumulations of people on the streets can contribute to the fastest infection of acute respiratory viral infections with the ensuing consequences,” Onishchenko said.
