
President Vladimir Putin signed a law that introduces students to the use of drugs and psychotropic substances, according to the Kremlin’s official website. The document is aimed at identifying drug use by students in educational institutions.
Testing of adolescents, if they are not 15 years old, will be carried out with the consent of the parents; Those who are more than 15 will give such an agreement themselves.
According to the Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Alexander Klimova, socio-psychological testing will take place in conversation and test format.
"Doctors will conduct testing using modern techniques. It is provided for the preservation of the secrets of testing results," he said.
The Federal Law "On Amending Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation on the Prevention of Illegal (Nemedician) Consumption of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances" was adopted by the State Duma on May 15 and approved by the Federation Council on May 29.
