The gang of Palkin was accused of performing "hooligan actions using weapons." The first episode belonged to the period of the election campaign in the Kushchevsky District Council of Deputies, in which the father of Vadim Palkin participated. According to the investigation, Palkin Jr. "In order to raise the rating of his father," decided to staging an attempt on his murder, setting a stretch with a grenade in front of the door of his apartment in May 2002. And in October 2004, members of the Palkin gang established stretching already near the house of the chairman of the territorial election commission of the Kushchevsky district, Alexei Dubina. Representatives of the prosecutor’s office, in turn, insisted on proved guilt of the defendants, without bringing a large number of arguments.

The prosecutor's office intends to appeal the acquittal, which will be issued on June 17 on the basis of the jury verdict. A lawyer representing the interests of the victim of Hope Tsapok will also file a complaint with the Supreme Court. The victim Tsapok said in court that she always knew about involvement in the death of her son Nikolai Vadim Palkin, but was afraid to tell about it.
