Swamp process: Court time

On June 6, the preliminary hearings “Twelve Affairs” began in the Moscow City Court. It is allocated from a large "case of mass riots on May 6." For two days of the process, the judge did not have time to listen to all the defense petitions, refused to send the case to the prosecutor’s office and postponed the hearing until June 18*

Twelve defendants first met and met in a glass cage-Akvarium

*In the bench of the defendants - Nikolai Caucasian, Artem Savelov, Andrei Barabanov, Stepan Zimin, Denis Lutskievich, Yaroslav Belousov, Sergey Krivov, Alexey Polikhovich, Alexander Dukhanin, Leonid Kovyazin, Vladimir Akimenkov and Maria Baronova

On the first day of the process, the meeting was scheduled for 11.30 and began on time. A preliminary meeting from the Zamoskvoretsky court, where there are no large halls, were transferred to the Moscow City Court. Three desks were put there, behind whom, as students, lawyers, Maria Baronova (she is under the recognizance not to leave) and Alexander Dukhanin (she is under house arrest, they say, the bracelet on her leg moves away, and her warders curses that she moves her feet in a dream). The remaining ten defendants - in a glass aquarium, four meters in length and two in width.

It seemed that on the day of the Great Judgment, the whole of Moscow would be gathering in the Bogorodsky Val, as it was on the judgment on Pussy Riot and Mikhail Khodorkovsky. But on the street, opposite the court, only cameras lined up: Channel One, NTV, REN TV and Western television companies, about thirty people sat on their benches and on the lawn. The same was in the corridor next to the hall of the meeting. Preliminary hearings are always held closed, so the audience was not allowed into the hall. When the doors of the judicial hall opened and everyone saw the faces of the defendants in the Aquarium, they were applauded and screamed in the corridor, one could see how people jump, wave their hands and smile broadly through the backs of the bailiffs. The first meeting lasted eight hours - all the defendants and lawyers took turns in turn, represented the guarantees of famous people in defense of the accused. After that, Judge Nikishina announced her decision: to extend the detention for everyone, as the prosecutor asks, for six months, that is, until November 24. This means that all men will remain in a pre -trial detention center, and the girls - each under their arrest. And you can’t move the breath with a breath - it excites suspicion.

Someone from the support group gave the relatives of the "Bolotnikov"-the mother of Caucasian, Polkhovich’s parents and Papa Savelov-white chamomiles, but by the end of the hearing the flowers have already been wilted. None of the relatives cried. Masha Baronova is selflessly, “scoring” to the fact that this and her process also tweeted everything that was happening in the courtroom. In the corridor, I read her tweets out loud. The accused performed in turn when the line reached Polikhovich, he, as Maria Baronova twitched, stood up and said: “Let us all go home!” I read it out loud, Father Polikhovich got up and said quietly with pride: "This is my boy!" When Nikolai Caucasian spoke, his mother explained to me that he was recently transferred back to Butyrka, he was done a medical examination, but neither lawyers nor her have the results of this examination. She smiled and joked that Nikolai's disease is non -commercially, but now she sees that Nikolai was sitting in the company of decent people and in the colony would be fenced off from bad ones.

The author has a ten-year-old son, he looks like Lutskevich and Polikhovich, and something else in the Caucasian. I know a lot of such good boys and girls, and I’m scared that because of an empty area opposite the Moscow City Court, they will all “sit in a good company”.
