The Ministry of Emergency Situations predicted gusty winds, rain and hail for residents of the Moscow region on the evening of Monday, June 10.
“Within the city, during strong gusts of wind, trees, advertising stands and billboards, lamp posts, iron sheets from the roofs of buildings may fall, power lines and the contact network of public transport may fall,” says a press release from the Ministry of Emergency Situations .
The rain will be so strong that it may flood the roadway and pedestrian crossings. “In this regard, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation for Moscow appeals to motorists with a request to refrain from moving around the city in their cars until the wind gusts stop and precipitation decreases, and strongly recommends that pedestrians and drivers follow the traffic rules,” warns the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
