
In the Moscow District Military Court (MOVS), a verdict was sentenced in the case of Mikhail Obzdich, who in 2005 deserted from the military unit deployed in Balashikha near Moscow. A soldier was found guilty of a brutal double murder of elderly women. At the same time, the jury regretted the defendant.
By a court decision, Mikhail Obdzdich will serve a 20-year sentence in a penal correctional colony, ITAR-TASS reports.
A relatively soft sentence was sentenced to a killer who refused to plead guilty, on the basis of a verdict of jury, announced last week. “According to the jury, the defendant’s fault has been fully proved during the trial, but he deserves condescension,” said the court press secretary Irina Zhirnova earlier.
As follows from the case file, on February 17, 2005, Mikhail Off, being in a dress in a field kitchen, arbitrarily left the service place and disappeared into the Nearby forest of the Noginsky district of the Moscow Region. Having walked to the village of Mamontovo, the deserter called the door of one of the houses. He was opened by a 68-year-old woman, whom the soldier pushed back into the house and beat. Then the layer stabbed the old woman with a knife in the neck, the official website of the MOVS reports.
“The second 78-year-old woman approached the noise, whose Offer inflicted at least 19 stabs with a knife,” the court’s press release said.
After that, the criminal pulled out 3 thousand rubles from the wallet killed, a radiotelephone, removed gold earrings and a ring from it, and also took the products. Then the laying set fire to the house and disappeared.
On the wanted list, the killer was listed as for seven years until he was detained in the house of his mother in Kansk, Krasnoyarsk Territory.
"In preparation for the detention, information was received about the presence of underground ways to leave the home in which the suspect was hidden, as well as the three trained dogs of fighting breeds in the courtyard of a private house," the official website of the RF IC reports. "Taking into account all these factors, a search was carried out by the Plazdich’s parents, during which their son was discovered and detained in a secret shelter."
During the interrogation, a former soldier announced the murder committed by him.
Initially, Mikhail Poddladych was accused under the village of Part 4 of Article 162 (robbery with the cause of serious harm to the health of the victim), p. "A, s" part 2 of article 105 (murder of two persons from mercenary motives, associated with robbery), part 2 of article 167 (intentional destruction of someone else's property committed by arson) and part 4) and part 4 Article 337 (unauthorized abandonment of the service place of more than 1 month) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
However, after conducting a psychological and psychiatric examination, he was recognized as a limitedly suitable service in the army, in connection with which his criminal prosecution under the last article was discontinued.
At the same time, experts diagnosed the defendant "schizoid personality disorder." At the same time, it is noted in the examination, "at the time of the commission of crimes, he was sane."
During the trial, Poddladych said that all charges against him were built only on his own confessions that were received under pressure. “My fault has not been proven - it’s just the guesses of the prosecution. In the state in which I was, I could not say that yet,” the accused said.
The lawyer drew the attention of the jury that her client "simple village guy who did not want to serve in the army, and I believe that this was not his." She asked to justify the defendant.
The victim - the daughter of one of the murdered women, said in court that the Obdzdych’s fault was obvious to her. The woman asked to put out the indictment verdict.
