The updated KDSK from the Ak Bars Development group will produce up to 150,000 square meters of housing per year, then this figure may increase to 250,000 square meters, said yesterday the first deputy general director of Ak Bars Development LLC Aidar Safin during the signing of an agreement with the German Sommer Anlagentechnik GmbH. Yesterday, this company, which specializes in the design and manufacture of flow lines for the production of precast reinforced concrete structures, signed a contract with the plant for the supply of equipment. It will allow the transfer of production from construction sites to the plant's workshops and significantly increase the productivity of KDSK, according to a press release from Ak Bars Development. Ak Bars Development invested 700 million rubles in the modernization. The Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Public Utilities of Tatarstan, Irek Faizullin, who was present at the signing of the agreement, added that the modernization of the enterprise will reduce the final cost of housing by 10-15%. Tatarstan, according to the head of the Ministry of Construction, builds more than 2 million square meters of housing annually and in the future the authorities intend to increase the volume to 3.8 million square meters.

The first stage of the plant's development will be completed in exactly one year, adds Alena Kutuzova, leading specialist in the advertising department of Ak Bars Development LLC. She does not name the total amount of investment in the development of the plant. Gradually, it is planned to increase the capacity to the actual completion of 250,000 square meters of housing per year, Kutuzova continues. According to her, the amount of investment in modernization will increase proportionally.

The loan to KDSK was provided by the Tatarstan branch of Sberbank, said branch manager Ruslan Sakhbiev at the signing. The Ak Bars Development project is included in the federal program for modernizing the Russian construction industry and is declared to compensate for the interest rate, explained Safin.

KDSK LLC was formed last year on the basis of the former KPD-3 plant (large-panel housing construction). The design capacity of the enterprise, according to a representative, was 70,000 sq. m of housing per year, i.e. after modernization, KDSK's productivity will increase more than twofold. The plant's products, according to a representative, are used for the projects of the Yuit company, which has several development projects in Kazan, and for orders from other companies.

The total investment in KDSK will amount to 1 billion rubles, according to Investcafe analyst Daria Pichugina. The payback, according to her calculations, will be fast - 2-3 years, "taking into account the need for building materials and the growth in construction volumes."
