In Nizhny Novgorod, a thief entered an apartment, but was surprised by the poverty of the people living in it and did not take anything, a source in the region’s law enforcement agencies told Interfax.
The incident occurred in the Avtozavodsky district of the city. An apartment thief picked up the keys to the front door of one of the apartments in the building on Sputnik Street and entered it.
“After looking around, the thief, apparently, was so imbued with pity for the owners of the home that he did not steal anything, but left a note when leaving. In it, he asked the owners not to contact the police, expressed pity for their poverty and advised them to put a second one on the door castle,” said the agency’s interlocutor.
The owners of the apartment nevertheless contacted the police, and the issue of a criminal case is being resolved.
