The Russian government will allocate 300 million rubles for additional security measures during the Unified State Exam in 2014, ITAR-TASS reports citing Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets.

According to her, more versions of the Unified State Exam will be prepared, and if questions are leaked, compromised versions will be replaced with new ones. Golodets did not talk about any other measures to stop leaks, but noted that all cases of making Unified State Exam materials publicly available this year “will be investigated to the end.”

In general, according to Golodets, the Unified State Exam in 2013 passed with fewer violations than in previous years. In particular, she noted good results in Chechnya, Ingushetia and Dagestan, where the results of the Unified State Exam coincided with the progress of the educational process and with the results of intermediate measurements.

In 2013, questions for almost all exams within the Unified State Exam were published on the Internet, mostly a day or a few hours before testing. Russian Education Minister Dmitry Livanov stated that, in his opinion, leaks do not in any way affect the reliability of the Unified State Exam results.

At the beginning of June, a meeting was held at the analytical center under the government of the Russian Federation regarding leaks of Unified State Examination materials, in which experts and representatives of the teaching community took part. At the meeting, a proposal was made to develop many versions of the Unified State Examination and make them publicly available in order to deprive leaks of meaning.
