
The authorities of the Perm Territory terminated the employment contract with the director of the Permm Museum of Contemporary Art, the famous Galerist Marat Gelman, reports Echo of Moscow. Earlier, the intention of the authorities to dismiss Helman RIA Novosti was confirmed in the administration of the region.
“We confirm this information,” the agency’s interlocutor said, without specifying the date when it is planned to terminate the employment contract and announce the competition for the replacement of the vacant position.
Information that the acting The Minister of Culture of the region Igor Gladnev decided to terminate the fixed -term employment contract with the director of the regional state autonomous institution "Museum of Modern Art" Helmann appeared in the local Business Perm edition on Wednesday in the morning. It was emphasized that the termination of the employment contract is carried out in accordance with paragraph 2 of Article 278 of the Labor Code, which allows the employer to dismiss the manager at any time, regardless of whether the head of the guilty actions was committed, and without explanation.

PermM is the first and so far the only museum of contemporary art outside the two capitals in Russia, the institution’s website says. In 2008, the initiators of its creation were galleryist Marat Gelman and Senator Sergey Gordeev. Gelman headed the museum since the end of 2008.
