Never in post-Soviet times, Russia has not been as obvious “non-west” as it is now. This course has tactical advantages for the Putin regime and strategic disadvantages for Russia, threatening it with the final loss of the third world.

The most anti -Western policy after the collapse of the USSR, which the Russian authorities pursue, can bring Putin a certain tactical benefit. And most of them clearly see in their dreams the country of residence is not Syria, whose president-dictator is so violently defended by his Russian colleague, and not Iran with Venezuela, namely the countries of the Western world.

By its anti -Americanism and anti -Western policy under the current trajectory of the economic, social and cultural development of Russia (this trajectory is called “degradation”), the authorities will only bring up a new “American dream” in new generations of citizens. This does not mean at all that the Western world is trouble -free or sinless. Just post -Soviet Russia never found its place in the world. This is not an empire or a national state. Not the West or the East. Not an intermediary between Asia and Europe. An unknown animal, which literally bursts from its own significance.
