The new pension formula will be introduced on January 1, 2015. As now, the pension calculated according to it will consist of three parts - a fixed payment (analogous to the current basic part of the pension, in 2013 its size is 3,610.31 rubles), insurance and savings parts.

The main difference is in the technology for calculating the insurance part of the pension. If now its size depends only on the amount of contributions that the employer pays for the employee to the pension fund, then in the new formula, length of service will play no less, if not a greater, role. Each year of a citizen’s work activity will be assessed with a special coefficient. To find it out, you need to divide the employee's annual income by the maximum salary from which the employer pays contributions to the pension insurance system. Currently, salaries not exceeding 47 thousand rubles are taxed at a rate of 22%. (this is 1.6 times the national average salary). Over seven years, this threshold will be increased to RUB 61,387. (2.3 average salary).

If the resulting ratio is equal to or greater than one, the employee receives the maximum possible annual ratio—10 points. But this is only true for citizens born in 1967, who do not have the right to form a funded part of their pension. For younger people, reducing coefficients will apply: 0.91 for those who do not care about their funded part of the pension, the so-called silent people (from 2014, 6% of their salary, which went to the formation of savings, will be fragmented and 4% will go to the distribution system). And an even lower coefficient - 0.727 - will apply to those workers who deliberately chose a management company or private pension fund to invest their pension savings (for them the savings rate will remain at 6%).

The longer a citizen works, the more points he will accumulate. Special bonuses are provided for employees with extensive experience: for each year of work experience from 30 to 40 years for women and from 35 to 45 years for men, 1 additional pension coefficient is awarded. Premium points are provided for those who agree to work after reaching retirement age without applying for a pension. Moreover, in this case, the increase will also affect the fixed payment: over three overtime years it will increase by 19%. The insurance part of the pension will increase by 24%. And in eight years they will grow by 73% and 90%, respectively. The calculation here is simple: the so-called survival period, that is, the period during which a person is expected to need to pay a pension (currently 228 months), is reduced more and more the later he retires. The period of service in the army and the time spent caring for a child will be included in the length of service. True, you can get small points for this. For each year of military service, you can accumulate only 0.85 points based on a salary of 1 minimum wage (currently 5,205 rubles). The same amount for each year of caring for the first child. The points are doubled for the second child, and tripled for the third.

To find out your pension, all these accumulated points should be multiplied by the so-called pension coefficient value. In 2013, according to Pension Fund calculations, it would have been 57.9 rubles. Every year the cost will be indexed in accordance with inflation, but it cannot grow faster than the income of the Pension Fund. By 2015, as the fund suggests, each point will “get heavier” to 65 rubles.

As the Pension Fund assures, pensions calculated using the new formula cannot be lower than those obtained using current calculations. Citizens are offered to verify this using a pension calculator posted on the fund’s website. For example, for a man born in 1974, who sent all 6% of contributions to the funded part of his pension to a non-state pension fund, with two children, who did not serve in the army, who is ready to work until he is 65 years old and with a salary of 100 thousand, the pension calculated using the new formula will be 43,206 RUB, including accumulative - 10,260 RUB. If the calculation were carried out according to current rules, the amount would be 27,244 rubles. For a woman born in 1990, who has been working since she was 20 years old and is ready to do so until she is 65 for a salary of 50 thousand rubles, is going to have one child and does not think about saving for old age, the pension will be 58,390 rubles, and according to the current formula - RUB 41,210 It is curious that if this woman had kept her savings in a non-state pension fund, her pension would have been 1 thousand rubles. less. However, all these calculations are very conditional; the Pension Fund is based on prices and economic indicators in 2013. If the pension system deficit grows, the accumulated points will lose weight due to inflation, depreciating every year.
