Golikova will prophesy a new position: perhaps she will replace Stepashin as chairman of the Accounts Chamber. Already on Monday, July 1, the State Duma must submit candidates for this post to the president (in accordance with the new version of the Law on the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation, the Council must submit to the president at least three applicants, and the head of state may introduce one of them for approval by the Chamber of one or offer his candidate). According to Kommersant, the Kremlin, in addition to the current head of the department, Sergei Stepashin, is considered only by the assistant to the president Tatyana Golikova.
Representatives of the Communist Party, the LDPR and “Fair Russia” spoke out for the re -election of Stepashin.
“He does not have time to build up, the system should work, control should be carried out constantly,” said Maxim Rochmistrov (LDPR), the first deputy chairman of the budget and tax committee. “A person who is not at all familiar with the control system is not entirely true in conditions when a significant part of the auditors are updated.”
Old-timers leave the current composition of the Accounts Chamber: an audit building of 12 people will be updated at the expense of representatives of the State Duma-Sergey Shtogrin (Communist Party), Maxim Rochmistrov (LDPR), Andrei Perechyan (“Fair Russia”), Senators Bato-Zhargala Zhambalnimbuev (from the Trans-Baikal Branch) and Yuri Roslyak (dated Moscow), as well as the deputy head of the board of the Pension Fund Tatyana Manuilova. At the same time, the sources of the publication in the State Duma believe that the appointment of Tatyana Manuilova is no coincidence: from 1993 to 2004 she held different positions in the Ministry of Finance, at the same time, Golikova also worked in the Ministry of Finance (it turns out that the team is already being selected for Golikova).
United Russia has not yet formulated its proposals for candidates. The sources of Kommersant in the faction say that they can offer not one “real” and several “technical” candidates (as is usually used), but several “figures close in authority” at once, so that the president has a choice.
Among the status candidates for the chairmen of the joint venture called, as it has already become traditional, the ex-Minister of Finance Alexei Kudrin, but at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, he assured that he did not apply for this post.
According to the Law "Updating" the chamber should be completed by October 1.
