PublicPost is closed - the founders do not see prospects for the development of the project. This is, of course, very sad.

For 19 months we have been following the development of the Russia project and trying to understand what its prospects are. Over the course of 19 months, we experienced elections to the State Duma and presidential elections, the rise of civic activity and its decline, rallies of thousands, the first of which participants went to as if they were celebrating a holiday, and then they began to go to them as if they were going to a funeral, the trial and verdict of Pussy Riot, arrests and a trial for "Bolotnaya case", a ban on the adoption of orphans by Americans, the law on "foreign agents", an attack on NGOs. The State Duma, in the elections of which the liberal public participated under the motto “For any party except United Russia!”, adopts anti-liberal laws unanimously - although there is less United Russia there than before. Criminal liability has been introduced for “insulting the feelings of believers,” “homosexual propaganda” is prohibited, and children are protected by a special law from “harmful information.” The defendant Alexei Navalny is finally turning from a popular blogger into an opposition leader. A meteorite exploded over Chelyabinsk. The Moscow metro has stopped. In Dagestan and the Voronezh region, slaves ran away from their masters, and in Moscow they had to be freed by force and cunning. Russian nationalists visit the Chechen leader and sing his praises. We were lucky, we were doing media at an interesting time. Now, after its closure, PublicPost is turning from a mirror of this time into its archive.

On the left are the blogs of the editorial staff, in which they talk about what they have been doing all this time and for what purpose.
