
Aram Gabrelyanov was appointed Director General of the Russian News Service of the News, ITAR-TASS reports . Gabrelyanov himself confirmed this information to the agency:
“Yes, they appointed,” he said.
Gabrelyanov specified that he would not be related to the editorial policy of the radio station. He takes the post on July 1. Now the positions of the general director and the chief editor of the RSN are combined by Sergey Dorenko. According to Forbes, Dorenko will remain the editor -in -chief.
As Gabrelyanov told Vedomosti, his appointment was the idea of shareholders of the National Media Group.
“A couple of years ago, I invited them to integrate the radio station with my holding, but then they went a different path,” he said, adding that he did not know whether this would happen now: “First you need to figure out what is happening with the radio station.”
Aram Gabrelyanov is currently the chairman of the board of directors of OJSC “editorial office of Izvestia” (also owned by the National Media Group), the general director of the News Media Publishing House and the creator of the Life tabloid.
Since 2011, 100% of the Russian News Service has been owned by the National Media Group. This is the only information system, which is a FM radio station, an information agency and the Russian Radio news network.
The National Media Group includes the television and radio company "Petersburg-Fifth Canal" (72.4%), OJSC Channel One (25%), REN TV (68%), Izvestia newspaper (73.2%) and Russian News Service (100%). The board of directors is headed by Kirill Kovalchuk, and the general director is Alexander Ordzhonikidze.
