According to the proposal of the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on the Constitutional Legislation of the Federation Council, criminal punishment must be introduced for the rehabilitation of Nazism, the heroization of Nazi criminals and their accomplices. Under rehabilitation, Konstantin Dobrynin proposes to consider restoration of rights, the appropriation of awards to Nazi criminals, public justification and the spread of the ideology of Nazism and the public glorification of Nazi criminals.
The author of the bill proposes to punish violators depending on the severity of the act they committed by a fine of 100 thousand to 500 thousand rubles, correctional work up to two years, forced labor up to five years or by deprivation of freedom from two to five years.
According to Dobrynin, the document has a great chance of adoption, since with the help of criminal legislation it prohibits the entire Nazi socio-political practice.
“The fact is that the revival of Nazism is not as incredible as it seems at first glance,” says Konstantin Dobrynin. - And in the near future, an attempt to revise and the results of the Second World War, and Nazism in a global sense is possible. Therefore, our law is an attempt to eliminate the very opportunity to become a Nazi.
