
The security forces warn the Chuvash oppositionists from trips to Kazan during the Universiade. On Monday, the CPE operatives came to a member of the Cheboksary "solidarity" Sergey Petrov and handed him the appropriate paper.
To the brother of the opposition to Roman Petrov, who also consists in "solidarity", the security forces also showed increased interest. On Friday, when the activist was heading to Kazan at the Kremlin Live festival, the bus he was driving, the traffic police and the FSB officers stopped twice: at the exit from the Chuvash capital and at the entrance to the Tatar. Both times, the verification of the documents was a pretext for stopping. However, the documents were checked only by Petrov.
The next day, a policeman, accompanied by unknown people in civilian clothes, approached the activist at the Northern Station of Kazan. The documents were checked by Petrov, after which one of the employees in civilian clothes remained to wait until the bus on Cheboksary, in which the opposition leader, would not leave.
The visit of the security forces was announced in his blog by the activist of the party on December 5, Sergei Utrivan. He was awarded a prosecutor’s warning about the inadmissibility of extremist activity in connection with the upcoming Universiade. “To my cautious question, what grounds to assume that I can engage in extremist activities, the CPE employee replied:“ Well, you are visiting public actions, ”the oppositionist wrote.
With a similar warning came to the activist Ruslan Saparov.
On Friday, on the border of Chuvashia and Mari El, another Russian Pavel Zherebin was detained, returning to Moscow from a scientific conference in Kazan. The activist told his wife and party comrade Nadezhda Alekseeva that the detention was carried out by the FSB officers, and for what purpose it was incomprehensible. Later, Zherebin was released by removing the photocopy of the passport. At the same time, he was demanded not to approach the border of Tataria.
On June 26, another activist of another Russia, Kirill UNCHUK, who was sentenced to three years of general regime, was sent from a colony in the Tatar city of Nizhnekamsk with a stage in Novosibirsk.
The 27th World Summer Universiade will be held in Kazan from July 6 to 17. A number of events related to the upcoming competitions are already taking place in the city.
