The flag of the Russian national team is raised at the Universiade in Kazan

The day before, in the village of Universiade-2013 in the capital of Tatarstan, a ceremony of raising the flag of the Russian team took place.

It was attended by the President of the International Student Federation of Claude Louis Galien, President of the Russian Student Sports Union Oleg Matytsin, a well-known fighter of mixed martial arts Fedor Emelianenko, as well as athletes that will protect Russia in the upcoming competitions.

According to ITAR-TASS with reference to the press service of the Executive Directorate of the Universiade-2013, the Russian team in games is the largest, its composition 663 athletes. About 100 Russian athletes have already arrived in Kazan.

In total, athletes from 162 countries are waiting for the arrival of athletes, which is a record for World Summer Student Games.

The Universiade will be held in Kazan on July 6-17. In total, 351 kits of medals will be played over these days. The flag of the Russian team was raised on the alley of the flags of the village of the Universiade first.

Until July 6, the ceremonies of raising the banners of other countries will take place, whose representatives will take part in the summer Universiade.
