Irkutsk scientists against such a reform of the Russian Academy of Sciences

Irkutsk scientists supported their colleagues who protest against the adoption of the draft law on the reorganization of the State Academy of Sciences. On the square in front of the Irkutsk Scientific Center of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, they held a meeting. The Irkutsk people expressed distrust of the Russian government, and talked about the need to resign the Minister of Education and Science of Russia Dmitry Livanov. The meeting was organized by members of the Council of Young Scientists.
