The Ministry of Justice made a decision on the final refusal to register the Party of supporters of Alexei Navalny "People’s Alliance". According to the department, Izvestia, after checking the submitted documents, it was revealed that many party founders were not present at the congress, although there were signatures.
“Not all party founders participated in the congress. We started checking, contacted people who listed in the documents. And some of them refuted the fact of presence at the congress,” the Ministry of Justice said.
Earlier, the Ministry of Justice suspended the registration of the Navalny party, after the chairman of the Council of the Green Alliance - People's Party, Oleg Mitvol filed a lawsuit that the Ministry of Justice violated the law, helping in the registration of the "people's alliance", two words from which coincide with the name of the party of Mitvol.
Documents to the Ministry of Justice on the registration of the People’s Alliance party were submitted in August last year. The party’s organizing committee included the Executive Director of the Navalny Corruption Fund Vladimir Ashurkov, the deputy of the Yekaterinburg City Duma Leonid Volkov, political analyst Fedor Krasheninnikov, the Chairman of the Board of the Builder Foundation Blogger Vladislav Naganov, journalist Timur Khorev. Alexei Navalny himself said earlier that he was not going to join the party, although he considers it his own.
