Rating in Russia: Duster went around Kalina, sales are sharply falling

The European Business Association has published the next rating of sales of new cars in Russia. According to data for the first half of 2013, sales fell by 6% compared to the same period last year, and in June the decline in the market reached 11%. At the same time, the Renault Duster crossover rose in fourth place in the ranking of the best -selling models, ahead of Kalina. And among the cars that somehow manage to maintain the previous volume of sales are only selected foreign cars.

The sales leader - Lada Granta, diverged more than 84 thousand copies. In second place is the most popular among foreign cars Hyundai Solaris. However, sales of the model, according to the results of six months, have gone minus - unlike the counterpart, Kia Rio. Rio and took the fourth place Renault Duster - the only ones who managed to increase the sales. In addition to the "grants", which reached the planned volumes of production.

At the same time, the triumph of the budget model does not save AvtoVAZ from the general fall in sales. Other models are in the leading leaders. So, Kalina was bought by 37 thousand people against 67.5 thousand a year earlier, Prior - almost 32 thousand versus 59.5 thousand.

Among foreign cars, the volume of Ford Focus sales decreased most significantly: from 45 to 34 thousand.

As a result, sales of the most popular brand in the country - LADA - in the first half of the year fell by 10%, and according to the results of June, the decline reached 17%. In second place among the brands is Renault, followed by Kia, Hyundai, Chevrolet.
