In Boston (Massachusetts), the first court hearings in the case of a US citizen Johar Tsarnaev begin today. He is accused of organizing a terrorist attack during the Boston Marathon on April 15 of this year.

The federal authorities were charged Tsarnaev on 30 points , including "using weapons of mass destruction, namely a home -made explosive device," and in "malicious destruction of private property using an explosive device that caused the death of people."

At the hearings, the presence of most victims and their relatives is expected, the newspaper The Boston Herald said.

Earlier it was reported that the mother of Tsarnaev intends to come to the court, despite the fact that she herself was facing the arrest for the theft of clothes from the store. Whether the Tsarnaev Zadanayev will actually be present in the courtroom in reality, while there is no information.

For a meeting, in order to accommodate all witnesses, a large room is specially allocated. The rest will be able to observe the process on telemonitors installed in the hall halls.

Two explosions thundered at an interval of 12 seconds on April 15 in the center of Boston. The American authorities are sure that the organizers and performers of these explosions were the Tsarnaev brothers-26-year-old Tamerlan and 19-year-old Johar.

Tamerlan was killed a few days after the attack in a shootout with the police.

Johar, who received severe injuries during the detention, is currently contained in the Devens Prison Medical Center, not far from Boston.

Previously, the hearing was scheduled for May 30, but lawyers and the prosecutor's office said that they needed more time to prepare for the process.

Investigation of the case of the Tsarnaevs

The American special services checked the encirclement of the Tsarnaev brothers, their relatives and friends. As a result, it turned out that the brothers telephone conversations were present by the "vague mentions" of the Holy War against the infidels (jihad), and Tsarnaev’s mother and one of the brothers in 2011 also spoke about this.

The special services also found out that Tamerlana recently had a strong influence by a man named Misha, who preached him Islam. According to the uncle of the brothers Ruslan King, the acquaintance of Tamerlana literally "took possession of his brain." Presumably, it was the communication with him that Tamerlana prompted him to abandon sports and get carried away with radical Islam.

Tsarnaev's friends tried to help them avoid punishment. According to the FBI, Azamat Tazhayakov and Diaz Kadyrbaev, as well as the US citizen, Robel Phillipos tried to destroy evidence that could indicate the involvement of the Tsarnaevs in explosions.

During the investigation, the acquaintance of Tamerlana was shot dead during the interrogation, also a native of Chechnya Ibrahim Todashev. Later, the investigators reported that the 27 -year -old Chechen, answering questions about the attack, allegedly behaved aggressively - rushed at the FBI agent, which forced him to defend himself.
