The thematic game mummy park, dedicated to the heroes of the famous Finnish writer Tove Jansson, opened in Japan today, ITAR-TASS reports.

Game equipment for the playground was provided by the Finnish manufacturer Puha Group. On the territory of the park, children's gaming structures are installed, made in the form of heroes of fairy tales about mummies-trolls, which are extremely popular among the Japanese.

According to the Finnish Yle television company, two words are connected in the name of the new Kiyitos Hiroa park, the Finnish Kiyitos - “thank you” and the Japanese “Hiroa” - “Square”.

At the opening of the park among the guests were the Ambassador of Finland to Japan Yukka Payarinen and the mayor of the city of Sentai Emiko Obvama. In his welcoming speech, Mr. Obvama thanked the Finns for the donation, and also expressed hope for long -term cooperation between Finland and the city of Sentai.

In 2011, the Japanese city of Sendai was destroyed by a powerful earthquake and the followed by the tsunami. Thousands of people still live in temporary housing, restoration work is still ongoing in the city.

Until now, the world has the only mummy park located in southwestern Finland, on the island of Kylo near the old part of the city of Nantali. In one of the most popular entertainment parks around the world there is a mumy-house, recreated from Tuva Jansson, “Talking Trees”, a maze and much more. In the theater, performances in Finnish and Swedish are held several times a day. The fame of the mummies-trolls gave rise to fashion for weddings in their valley, especially this phenomenon is popular among Japanese tourists.
