
July 15 marks four years since the death of human rights activist and journalist Natalia Estemirova. On the morning of July 15, 2009, Estemirov was kidnapped at her house in Grozny and pushed into a white vaz. In the afternoon of the same day, the body of a human rights activist with bullet wounds in the head and chest was found in a forest belt near the village of Gazi-Yurt, the Nazran district of Ingushetia, 100 meters from the Caucasus federal highway.
