The trial of Sergey Cherepovsky

On August 16, a court hearing in the case of Tver’s Central District Court in the case of an activist of “another Russia” by Sergey Cherepovsky. He is charged with part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code (the use of non -hazardous violence in relation to a representative of the authorities). On a fabricated charges of attacking a police officer Cherepovsky, threatens up to five years in a colony. The case is the judge Elena Mordvinkina.

On May 1, Cherepovsky and his party comrade Anastasia Zinovkin arrived from Moscow to Tver for a coordinated demonstration for the propaganda of the ideas of "other Russia". After the start of the procession, Cherepovsky unfolded the flag with a lemon and took out the Total Mobilization for the distribution of the party newspaper. For this, activists were detained.

Digossov was delivered to OP "Central". On the basis of a falsified protocol under Part 1 of Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (disobedience to the legal requirements of a policeman), Zinovkin was sentenced to five days of administrative arrest, and a criminal case was brought up on Cherepovsky. During the detention of other Russians, the elderly participants in the demonstration tried to recapture them and scratched several police officers. The police accused the activist of these injuries. There is information that the FSB insisted on the factory of the case.

Initially, the employees of OP "Central" Denis Vasin and Evgeny Artamonov were considered victims. As stated in the materials of the case, which was conducted by the investigator of the city department of the Investigative Committee of Eduard Asadov, during the detention of Cherepovsky hit Artamonov on the nose with a fishing rod on which the flag was fixed, and clasped Vasin by the neck to tie to the ground.

Artamonov later abandoned his testimony, and now Vasin remains the only victim.

Meanwhile, the video published in the media does not confirm the version of the investigation.

On July 3, the Memorial human rights center recognized Cherepovsky by political prisoner.
