Rusfond (Russian Relief Fund) was created in the fall of 1996 to help the authors of desperate letters to Kommersant. After checking the letters, we post them in Kommersant, on the websites rusfond.ru, livejournal.com, Echo of Moscow, Zdorovye@mail.ru, on Channel One, as well as in 18 print, television and online media in various regions of the Russian Federation. Having decided to help, you receive the fund’s details from us and then act on your own or send donations through the electronic payment system. Transfers from credit cards, electronic cash and SMS are possible, including from abroad (details at rusfond.ru). We are simply helping to help you. Readers and TV viewers liked the idea: in total, over $116.2 million was collected. In 2013 (as of July 18), 718,808,293 rubles were collected, 831 children received help. We also organize aid campaigns on days of national disasters. The Foundation is a laureate of the national Silver Archer award.
