Died the drummer of the Kino Group Georgy Guryanov

The St. Petersburg rock musician and artist Georgy Guryanov (Gustav), the former drummer of the Kino group, died at the age of 52 years. The sound engineer Alexei Vishnya wrote about this on his blog. Guryanov was sick with hepatitis C, as well as cancer of the liver and pancreas. It was recently reported that after an intensive care course, there was a hope for improving the condition of the musician.

At the end of June, blogs and social networks published details for collecting funds for expensive medicines for Guryanov. The musician himself in an interview with Colta.ru did not approve this initiative. “We are now actively asking for these posts (calling for help. - Ed.) To remove,” he said. “Because we are glad, but we don’t want hysteria.”

Guryanov came to Kino in 1984 and remained in its composition before the dissolution of the group after the death of its leader Viktor Tsoi in 1990. There he was a drummer, an arranger, the author of the bass parties and the back-vocalist. Prior to coming to Kino, Guryanov played in the punk group "Automatic Satishes" and the New Wolf "Strange Games". In addition, in the 1980s, along with other members of Kino, he participated in the project of Sergei Kurekhin "Popular Mechanics".

At the same time, Guryanov was engaged in painting. In the 1980s, he became one of the first participants in the art group "New Artists", in 1999 he joined the new serious. Since 1993, Guryanov has been an honorary professor of the new Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg.
