The co-chair of the RPR-Parnas Boris Nemtsov is invited to head the party list in the elections to the Yaroslavl Regional Duma, which will be held on September 8. This was reported on Twitter by the party functionary Ilya Yashin. The list will also include candidates from unregistered parties on December 5 and a folk alliance. Between them, an agreement was concluded on the consolidation of forces, similar to signed in June regarding the elections to the Moscow City Duma.
Thus, in case of his consent, Nemtsov will lead the list with the popular mayor of Yaroslavl Evgeny Urlashov, who was arrested in early July on charges of bribery, and last Thursday detached from the post. Urlashov goes alone in the list of the "civilian platform" of the oligarch Mikhail Prokhorov.
Meanwhile, the party of Vladimir Milov "Democratic Choice" proposed to head his regional list to the former head of the special forces of the regional Federal Penitentiary Service, Colonel Valery Shugaeva. For the past nine years, Shugaev has been working as the deputy head of the administration of the Zavolzhsky district of Yaroslavl.
For the sake of a trip to Yaroslavl, Nemtsov and Yashin missed a monthly meeting of the Coordinating Council of the opposition. In total, only 14 out of 40 CSR members appeared at the meeting on July 20, and it turned out to be torn due to the lack of quorum. Such a case occurs for the first time after all the time since the election of the Council.
