The film company Sony Pictures has announced the start of work on a film adaptation of Dan Brown's new book "Inferno". The film's release date is set for December 2015, and the main character, Harvard professor Robert Langdon, will be played by Tom Hanks for the third time (after The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons). Dan Brown's next film adaptation will not do without spectacular outdoor views. In the first pages of the novel, Langdon, wounded and not remembering what happened to him, finds himself in Florence, after which, as the action progresses, he visits a couple of other cities beloved by tourists. As you can easily guess just by the name, the riddles offered to Langdon this time are related to Dante Alighieri and his “Divine Comedy”. The Catholic Church, however, clearly has nothing to worry about this time. Unless the film's screenwriters radically alter the plot of the novel, Tom Hanks's hero will have to confront not secret societies and villains in robes, but less mystical criminal plans related to demographic problems and high-tech terrorism.

As Professor Langdon, Tom Hanks will once again have to deal with the Italian Renaissance - just like in The Da Vinci Code.
