Google will help the Council in the data of data leakage

Google Corporation expressed a willingness to cooperate with the working group of the Federation Council, which investigates the facts of leakage of these Russians through Western Internet companies. This was reported by RIA "Novosti" with reference to the Senator-Unorosa Ruslan Gattarov.

In a letter addressed to Gattarov, the corporation invites the Council to invite the Google vice president in southern and eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa Carlo D'Azaro Bondo to meet. "We are ready for a constructive dialogue with the Federation Council and would like to remove a possible misunderstanding of the situation from both sides," the document says.

According to Gattarov, a meeting with Bondo may take place on July 25.

Earlier, the exposure of the American special services Edward Snowden said that the Prism program provided US authorities with access to Internet companies servers, and therefore, unlimited possibilities for obtaining user data, including Russian ones. Then in the Council it was decided to create a working group to investigate leaks. All Internet companies were invited to cooperation, but some of them, including Google, did not respond to the call.

On July 16, Gattarov appealed to a series of relevant departments with a request to check Google user agreements for compliance with the law on the protection of personal data. He also stated that he was suspected by the corporation of tax evasion in Russia. “This is not a war against a particular company, but systematic work to bring the work of large Internet companies with personal data of citizens to international and Russian law,” said Uniceros.

At the end of January, it became known that the Russian branch of Google first transmitted data on its users to state buildings. According to the Google Transparency report, 1 percent of July - December 2012 was satisfied. In total, during this time, the corporation received 97 requests from the Russian authorities regarding data on 123 users or accounts. What kind of requests were satisfied, the corporation refused to clarify.
