July 24, at 10:45:00, the Moscow City Court will consider the appeal of the defense of the "swamp prisoner" by Alexei Gaskarov to extend the arrest.
On June 25, the Basmanny Court extended the deadline for the detention of Gaskarov until October 6. One of the main arguments of the investigator Alexei Bykov is the authority of Gaskarov in the circles of "radical youth".
The judge refused to lawyer Svetlana Sidorkina to introduce characteristics from the pilots - heroes of the USSR, despite their personal acquaintance with Gaskarov. Applications were also rejected to call most witnesses, including a member of the Coordinating Council of the opposition Sergei Davidis, deputies of the People’s Council of Zhukovsky and the neighbors of the activist on the entrance.
The accusation of Gaskarov is based on the testimony of two "classified witnesses." At the meeting on June 25, the testimony of another “classified witness” was read out, which, according to Bykov, belongs to the environment of the anarchists. Gaskarov’s guilt in these testimonies was imputed by raising money for “swamp prisoners” via the Internet.
The judge also introduced a certificate from the CPE to the case. One of them said that the activist often went to countries with anti -Russian sentiments.
Gaskarov was detained on April 28. The next day, the Basmanny Court arrested him on charges of participating in the riots (part 2 of Article 212) and the use of non -hazardous violence against a representative of the authorities (part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code). In court, the activist admitted that he dragged the riot police from the demonstrator, trying to stop the reprisal. He screamed "What are you doing?" In response, Gaskarov struck a rubber club on the face and, throwing to the ground, began to beat their feet. Gaskarov received ragged head wounds. He filed an application for beating in the TFR, but in the end he himself became the accused.
