The Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company (UMMC) decided to become the sole owner of the production of local air lines of the LET L-410, also known as the "turbolet". To do this, the company plans to bring its share in the stock of shares of the Czech factory Aircraft Industries from 51% to 100%, ITAR-TASS reports.
The aircraft is considered as the main model for the modernization of regional parks and restore the network of local airlines. It is assumed that aircraft leasing will be carried out with budget support, the specific mechanisms of which the heads of regions consolidated intended to determine at the meeting in September.
L-410UVP- a 19-seater close-range plane with a shortened runway, the first modification of which was released in 1969. In the post -war period, the “turbolet” was the first foreign aircraft that reached Soviet distances. On its base, many modifications of military, transport and special purposes were produced. In particular, this aircraft is widely used in Russian civilian and military flight schools to prepare future pilots of distant aviation and military transport aircraft.
After the transfer of 51% of the shares to the hands of the UMMC, the Czech plant received additional orders for its main products-aircraft L-410UVP-E20. In 2009, after a long break, the supply of aircraft to Russian customers was resumed - at first civilian, and a little later - the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
Now in the Russian regions, Aircraft Industries supplies a modernized version of cars equipped with a H-80 turboprop engine produced by the General Electric division in the Czech Republic. According to the UMMC, this seriously improved its operational characteristics, extending, in particular, the flight range from 1420 to 1520 km.
L-410 is listed in the aircraft parks of the companies "Orenburgier" and "Krasaero". The government of the Khabarovsk Territory and the Buryat Panch Airline are ready to buy several cars. Aircraft Industries is currently performing sketch work.
Earlier, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation reported that 19- and 9-seater aircraft are needed to develop domestic transport. In Russia, aircraft do not produce such modifications.
