In Moscow, a rally-concert "For Free Internet" was held against the law on arbitrary blocking of Internet resources, the Grani.ru correspondent reports. The action was attended by several hundred people. Raits and pickets were also held in other cities of Russia.
The rally in Moscow was held at the 1905 street metro station. Participants held the posters "Freedom of thought - this is the freedom of its spread", "Copyright robs culture", "No fz #187".
The rally was performed by the representative of the Association of Internet publishers Vladimir Kharitonov, Irina Levova from the Association of Internet Users, State Duma deputy Ilya Ponomarev, Executive Director of Vicimedia.ru Stanislav Kozlovsky. G. Mikhail Pulin proposed supporting the idea of anarchists and holding on August 1, on the day the law enters into force, IT-Zabastovka.
In St. Petersburg, about 140 people took part in the rally against the "anti -pirate" law on the Marse Field.

The shares also held in Kazan, Tomsk, Biysk, Khabarovsk. The collection of signatures for the abolition of the law on the website of the Russian public initiative has begun. To date, the document has already collected more than 52 thousand signatures.
The law on the protection of intellectual rights on the Internet will begin to operate on August 1, 2013. The document enshrines legal grounds and determines the procedure for restricting access to information resources through which film and television films are distributed with violation of exclusive rights, and establishes the features of prosecution and exemption of Internet providers and hosting providers from it. The law also prescribes the pre -trial procedure for blocking the resource containing pirate content.
