In 1995, Konstantin Sonin graduated from the Mechanical and Mathematics Faculty of Moscow State University, in 1998 he also received the degree of candidate of physical and mathematical sciences. He worked at the Russian-European Center for Economic Policy and the Central Economic and Mathematics Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (TsEMI RAS).
