The Supreme Court refused to overturn the sentence of Mikhail Khodorkovsky and Platon Lebedev. At the same time, the court considered it necessary to reduce both their sentences, but somehow in a mocking manner - by two months for each. According to the decision of the Presidium of the Moscow City Court dated December 20, 2012, the sentences of Khodorkovsky and Lebedev were reduced to 11 years. Now - up to 10 years 10 months. Thus, Lebedev could be released in May next year, and Mikhail Khodorkovsky in August.
Lawyers for Khodorkovsky and Lebedev plan to appeal to the next instance, that is, to the Presidium of the Supreme Court. They still believe the sentence should be overturned.

Khodorkovsky, speaking at a meeting broadcast from a colony in Karelia, said that the entire legal system in the country was gradually crumbling.
