TFR will interrogate the murderer Archpriest Adelheim

Investigators intend to interrogate 27-year-old Sergei Pchelintsev , who was cut by the Pskov Archpriest Pavel Adeelheim the night before. Meanwhile, RIA Novosti, citing a source in the region’s Central Internal Affairs Directorate, writes that the ambulance came to the dying only after the second call. “The first time they said that they did not have free cars. Farewell to Archpriest Adelegam will be held on Thursday. The funeral service will take place in the church of the Holy Fatherland wives, where the deceased served. The priest will be buried in the Mirotositsky cemetery next to the church.

Adeelheim was born in 1938 in Rostov-on-Don. Since 1946, after the arrest of the mother, he was brought up in an orphanage. When the mother was freed, he lived with her in a settlement in Kazakhstan. In 1954 he became a novice of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra. He studied at the Kyiv Theological Seminary, from where he was excluded in 1959 Igumn Filaret, the current patriarch of Kyiv and all Rus'-Ukrainian, for political reasons.

In 1964 he graduated from the Moscow Theological Academy, served as a priest in the Uzbek city of Kagan. In 1969 he was arrested, and in 1970 he was sentenced to three years in colony for "slander for the Soviet system." In 1971, during the unrest in the colony, he lost his right leg. After liberation, he continued to serve as a priest. Since 1976 he was a clergy of the Pskov diocese.

He served in the Pskov Church of the Holy Miroine wives (until 2008 - rector) and the Church of the Apostle Matthew in the suburban village of Piskovichi. At the Church in Piskovichi in 1993, he opened a shelter for orphanages. He was suspended from rectification in the Pskov temple as a result of a 20-year conflict with the Metropolitan of Pskov and Velikoluksky Eusebius.

In 2012, Adeelheim sued with the parish assembly of this temple along with another 13 former members. All of them were excluded from the meeting without explanation.

Adeelheim is the author of a number of theological works. The most famous of them is the "dogma of the church in canons and practice" (2002).

In addition, the Archpriest made public speaking on problematic issues of intra -church life. So, in May 2008, he criticized the draft Regulation on the church court of the Russian Orthodox Church, indicating the contradiction of a number of norms of this document to the principles of both Russian legislation and church law.
