Of course, this same Odessa is not alone. There are now proud pearls in the ocean now - like dirt. You can, of course, say that not only the Russians float on them, but for some reason it is they-like the Arab Sheikhs-began to be perceived in the modern world as nouveau riches, recklessly spending money on the most expensive and most meaningless pleasures. In Soviet times, the proof of the “presence” - Vysotsky - there were inscriptions in Russian “in the public Parisian toilet”. Today, the most fashionable glossy magazine of Europe is translated into Russian - Coast Magazine, the “on -board” magazine of the Sardian Costa Smeralda. However, to say that everything is translated right, I would not. The cultural chronicle remains in English and Italian: the editors of the publication are convinced that “Russians” do not need this. They need the most expensive - villas, yachts, diamonds, islands ... This is translated.
Once Mikhail of Zhelensky and Milovan Jilas wrote about the new class of the new system-nomenclature. But they could hardly imagine that this “new class” could afford in the conditions of the collapse of communism. People who have practically destroyed the economies of their own countries and have prepared all the conditions for their inevitable collapse live in a wide foot in the most fashionable places in the United States and Europe, depicting aristocrats or, in the worst case, large businessmen. But they are not very similar to aristocrats, since even the shadow of the submission about obligations to their Fatherlands does not have a shadow. And they are not businessmen, because they did not create anything in their lives, but simply stupidly eat stolen. Even the fact that in the post-Soviet space and beyond the richest of them are called oligarchs, he already says a lot: the oligarch makes a profit not thanks to his own business talents, but thanks to interaction with corrupt officials. And while the post-Soviet republics will be oligarchic plutocracies, and their citizens, regardless of the beliefs, will respect it is not clear as the wealth received, there is no need to count on some serious changes.
However, a supporter of evolution will always be able to argue with the revolutionary and advise him to hope for the next generation: here the initial accumulation of capital and children of oligarchs and corrupt officials, often receiving a prestigious European education, will end according to the new rules and shake off the ashes of dads from the series “Brigade”. Hopes are in vain.
Those who really want to live according to the new rules are already doing this beyond the borders of the former Soviet Union. And the one who continues his father’s business perfectly understands that there is simply no chance to survive, except to adapt to the triumphed banditry.
In Russia, Ukraine or Belarus, one who is not disgusting remains - and this applies to all segments of the population, from the owners of expensive yachts preferring the Mediterranean basin to the beaches of Sochi or Yalta, to those for whom Europe smells of chlorine, construction dust and medicines. All the rest - as it was in the former Soviet Union - accepted the prevailing rules of the game and want not so much to replace the rules as the replacement of leaders and the banal “turning of the pyramid”, when the latter in the food chain become the first. This is the very curse of immorality with which the Soviet decades awarded our society: a curse, scattered into hundreds of fragments, plowing waves of the world ocean ...
