The events of recent days showed us that even such a frivolous thing as a stomach disorder can have quite tangible political economic consequences at the international level. On August 5, the media reported that on the territory of the Grand Ring hotel in the village of Beldibi, 69 Russians revealed the signs of “acute gastroenteritis”. On August 7, information about the poisoning of another 47 tourists in the Orient Palace hotels in Alanil and Jacaranda in Belek appeared .

Typical symptoms of acute gastroenteritis are an increase in temperature, general malaise, nausea and vomiting, pain in the abdomen, diarrhea, flatulence, as well as “sleep disturbance” and “general anxiety”. The most spitting pathogens of the disease are rotavirus, E. coli and staphylococcus.

Medical reference books among the most common causes of acute gastroenteritis are called a careless attitude to the process of cooking foods (poorly washed fruits and vegetables, non -pasteurized milk, non -fed water or unpainted meat). That is, in a similar situation, it is worth suspecting, first of all, the kitchen workers.

The Russian Consulate in Antalya confirmed the fact of poisoning tourists in Orient Palace and Jacaranda , but the Turkish side doubted the authenticity of messages. “We conducted an official investigation and do not confirm the cases of mass poisoning of Russian tourists in hotels in Alanya. At the same time, food poisoning, in the very fact of which the Turkish authorities doubt, only a small number of vacationers affected. In percentage terms, the number of “nuist tourists” does not exceed 0.004% of the total number of Russians who visited Turkey for the year.
