In recent years, he fought with cancer.

Konstantin Kosyakin was born in 1947. In his youth he received a specialty of a mining engineer, worked as a sinter on the Moscow Institute, and in 1977 he came to work in the Permenprom system, where he held the positions of an engineer, chief specialist, deputy director for the construction of a coal complex in the BAM zone.

In 1999-2004, Kosyakin was a member of the Moscow City Committee of the Communist Party. He announced the exit from the Communist Party in 2004 after the intra -party scandal caused by the conflict between the Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov and excluded from the party Gennady Semigin.
